Artist Statement

Daria Zhest is a visual/conceptual artist based in Brooklyn, New York. Her work redefines the proximity of physical and metaphorical space. When creating she designs a self-operating algorithm, extrapolates parts of it to transfer to a specific medium; starting off digitally, it intertwines with physical mediums. She has shown her works in various exhibitions, and currently is further developing her practice by colliding the use of digital spaces and traditional materials.
